         During 2022, BKT continued to perform Insurance Intermediary activity for Bank customers.
         External and internal risk mitigation through insurance coverage has been especially important
         after the 2019 earthquake and the Covid-19 epidemic. Claims arising from insurance events
         have been followed up by the Insurance Unit of the Bank, providing financial support to the
         affected clients and their families as well as minimizing the risks that impact the Bank. Smart
         Insurance, a new service offered by BKT, has created the opportunity for customers who use
         the BKT Smart mobile application to pay for and receive insurance policies in real time. Also, a
         new project allows Insurance companies licensed in fund management to offer pension plans.
         Every BKT client will be able to apply for a voluntary private pension directly from BKT Smart.
         This is yet another BKT innovation for the Albanian financial market.
