SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

BKT conducts its business focusing on 5 main stakeholders: the shareholders, the market,
our people, the environment, and the society.

The shareholders – BKT shares and remains committed to the corporate culture values of
the Group and towards a sustainable profitability which enables the thrive of the organization
and the generation of values for its shareholders and at the same time for all its stakeholders.

The market – BKT is an innovative bank who offers modern and innovative banking solutions, a
wide range of consumer and investment products tailor-made to fit every need of our customers
be it individual, corporate or government entity. BKT is the main player in the market and the
main taxpayer in Albania which substantially contributes to the growth of the Albanian economy,
this witnessed from the continuous support of the bank in major projects related to infrastructure
improvement, transportation, telecommunication, tourism, production, etc. in We are led by a
customer centric approach and strive for customer service excellency and satisfaction for our
900,000 customers.

Our people – We value our human resources as our most important asset and we offer them
fair and modern labor practices, competitive remuneration and benefits, a strong culture of
meritocracy, trainings which aims further development and specialization, the possibility to build
a career path while ensuring that they have a healthy and safe work environment.

The environment – We care for the environment, and we act in accordance to respect and
protect it on our daily operations, not only based on the Albanian environmental legislation but as
well as part of our environmental sustainability initiatives. We are constantly seeking to improve
our business practices to enhance green practices and be an environmentally friendly bank.

The society – BKT recognizes its role and supports the society and the local communities
through a diversified CSR program which are in line with the UN sustainability goals with the
main ones mentioned below:

• The Bank supported the initiative of the Association ‘Blind
of Albania” by financing the creation of audio books that
were donated to the National Library of the Blind. This
initiative provides all citizens with vision impairments a
window into knowledge and imagination
• BKT employees voluntarily collected and donated basket
products as well as toys and clothing. In Tirana, the 100
packages created were distributed to families in economic
difficulty by the Red Cross - Tirana Branch, while in the
districts the packages were distributed by the staff
themselves. The Bank also organized a festive event with
music and gifts for the children of families in economic
difficulty in the city of Delvina.
