GOAL 11
SUSTAINABLE CITIES AND COMMUNITIES

• BKT in the Durrës city operates in the first building of the
Bank of Albania established in 1928. During year 2023 it
was finalized a deep reconstruction and restoration which
kept all the historical elements while adding modern ones.
The monument is recognized by the Ministry of Culture as ‘’
Cultural monument of second category’’.
• To promote the artistic, cultural, and culinary values of the city
of Elbasan, the bank supports every year the ‘’Summer Day’’
event which has become the last years the most important
event of the city.
• It was supported a 4 days activity ‘’Gusht e n’fest” organized
by the Municipality of Gramsh. The event aimed the promotion
of the city of Gramsh, supporting so the tourism, the culinary
and cultural traditions.
• The bank supported the reconstruction of a park in the city
of Vlora which is frequented by children and seniors.

GOAL 13
CLIMATE ACTION

• The bank has supported a project to increase green areas in
the city of Lushnje
• It was launched Eko Loan, which finances all individuals and
businesses with the aim to reduce energy consumption.

GOAL 17
STRENGTHEN THE MEANS OF IMPLEMENTATION
AND REVITALIZE THE GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP FOR
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.

• BKT has partnership with GGF (Green for Growth Fund),
with the aim of financing recycling/efficiency energy projects
which has effect on decreasing the consumption of the
energy and the reduction of CO2.
• In partnership with ADGF ( Albanian Development Guarantee
Foundation), the bank facilitates the landing conditions of
projects which aims the development of the agricultural
projects, production sector and energy saving projects. The
same partnership serves as a facilitator for supporting start-
up businesses.
