“EUROMONEY” AWARDS BANKA KOMBËTARE TREGTARE AS THE “BEST BANK IN ALBANIA” FOR THE SEVENTH TIME


Tirana, Albania (10th July 2019) – In recognition of its exceptional performance and leadership in the banking market, Banka Kombëtare Tregtare is awarded "The Best Bank in Albania" for the 7th time from Euromoney Magazine, one of the top financial publications in the world. The award was submitted to BKT’s Chairman, Mr. Mehmet Usta and BKT’s CEO&Board Member Mr.Seyhan Pencablıgil at the annual Awards for Excellence that took place in London on July 10th, 2019.

Mr.Usta, said in a speech accepting the award: “On behalf of all my BKT colleagues, I thank you for this wonderful award. Our strategy of finding a balance between traditional and innovative offerings while building a meaningful connection with our customers has consolidated through the years BKT’s position as the largest bank in Albania. I am confident that BKT’s proven ability to balance growth with adequate control, giving our customers guarantee for their financial future, will maintain BKT leadership in the coming years”

Mr. Pencablıgil underlined that stability and sustainability are the key factors of the success. It is not just one-time conjectural chance; it is the result of continuous effort and capability to manage the changes.  

Established in 1925 BKT is the largest and the oldest commercial Bank in Albania. With a total asset value of 4 billion USD and total deposits of 3.1 billion USD, BKT serves its customers through a network of 94 branches, out of which 67 are located in Albania and 27 in Kosovo. During the year BKT awarded as “the Best Bank in Albania” by the Banker, Global Finance and EMEA Finance.
