Part of BKT strategy is to be dominant in card business. BKT not only walks with the pace of time by offering technologies and latest features but is always a step ahead. Focus always remains on adding new features and services for the cards. To continue being the first and only in the Albanian market, BKT offers first Contactless Credit Card. From now on MasterCard Standard and MasterCard Gold will be Contactless Card. With Contactless feature, it is not necessary to insert the card into the POS terminal, but simply Tap & Go. Contactless purchases can be performed only on POS terminals that have integrated this feature. These purchases besides being contactless are also performed without PIN for amounts up to 2,000 ALL. For every purchase over Contactless limit must be entered the PIN. The limit of 2,000 ALL is set for Albania in accordance with the rules and standards of the card issuing companies. Contactless limit varies from country to country. In total can be performed 5 contactless transactions. After that you need to pay with you card by entering the PIN and then the contactless count is reset.
To use MasterCard Contactless:
- Step 1: At the purchasing moment check if POS terminal has the contactless logo:
- Step 2: After entering the amount wave your card in front of POS terminal;
- Step 3: Wait approval and you’re good to go!

Contactless is a new feature added to all new Prima credit MasterCard. With this new feature all cardholders up to an amount of 2,000 ALL may perform fast and very secure transactions, without the need to enter the PIN and POS slip signature.

Prima MasterCard Contactless can be used anywhere enough is to look if POS terminal is equipped with contactless logo. If POS terminal is not equipped with this logo your purchase will be done with contact (CHIP & PIN). 5. What if I want to make a contactless transaction for something that cost more than 2,000 ALL?
All purchases can be done contactless (without contact). For purchases up to 2,000 ALL you won’t need to enter PIN and to sign POS slip. Contactless transaction can be done also for purchases greater than 2,000 ALL just in this case you will need to enter your PIN.
